FAREWELL NERIST
Today was our Farewell party. Today for the first time I am feeling the end of the beautiful journey that was NERIST. After exactly 48 days we will cease to be NERIST-ians. Rather we would become ex-NERIST-ians. But whatever I do in my life or wherever I go, the NERIST tag will always be there with me. This is something that will remain with me till the day I die. Earlier when I first came to NERIST, the tight schedule, the awkward dinner hours, the loneliness, the hills, the cold, the teachers, the seniors, the ragging, everything used to creep me out. I hated this place and the people surrounding me. But as time passed I made new friends, the friends who light my everyday life, the friends who care for me, who guide me. So far we have faced everything that NERIST could throw at us together. Be it the diploma project disaster, or the lengthy and boring lectures, or the dreaded MA 5101, we have endured every storm together and lived to tell the story. But now, after the end-semester exams end, it’s every man for himself. There will no longer be any friends to guide you, no one will be there to wake you up in the morning, no special comments, no expert advices on matters ranging from the sucking bottle at VISHAL’s to distant crushes, no more birthday parties, no more treats, and finally no more GenX talk. Man, Life’s going to suck. . . But that, I suppose is how life works.

I am going to miss you guys.
